When not working on or writing for any of the above, he can still be found typing away, albeit in pursuit of his hobby, writing fiction.

Jamie Burford_edited_edited.jpg

Jamie Burford

Jamie Burford is a third-year creative writing and journalism student studying at Middlesex University London. His journalistic ambitions tie to elevating voices of local and small communities. This is since that, historically, these quieter voices and smaller stories are of lesser interest to society, which makes sharing their stories all the more charming and beautiful. Jamie’s own local community, on the outskirts of London in Rickmansworth, paints a fascination for further exploration as a result of the beauty of the area alongside the niceness of the people whose stories may be interesting write-ups. Beyond the scope of such writing, Jamie can be found writing pieces of poetry slumped upright against his pillows.

Gisela Koromah Sopale

I am Gisela Koromah Sopale, born in Equatorial Guinea and raised in Spain. I am currently a third-year Creative Writing and Journalism student. I speak Spanish and English, and I am learning French. In the future, I hope to write and publish my own books or work remotely in a field related to my studies.

I love traveling, theatre, nature, and animals. Since I was little, I would tell myself stories to fall asleep, imagining fantastical worlds, and I passed this passion for storytelling on to my siblings. This year, I wrote a feature on the Rainbow Centre for the Barnet Post, which was published.

If life allows, I would love to continue learning new forms of writing, developing my skills, and exploring exciting opportunities.

Malak Abou-Khachab_edited.jpg

Malak Abou-Khachab

Malak Abou-Khachab is a third-year Creative Writing and Journalism undergraduate at Middlesex University London. Specialising in sports journalism, her work centres on Formula One and the growing presence of women in sport, whether as athletes, fans, or professionals within the industry. She is particularly interested in telling human-led sports stories that challenge stereotypes and highlight underrepresented voices.

Anna_edited_edited.jpg

Anna Noia

Anna Noia is a Bachelor of Arts Creative Writing and Journalism student at Middlesex University London. Her journalistic works focus on either social issues or sport, with a particular interest in Formula One, American football and hockey in the latter category. These specific works examine that sport is about the people and their ambitions and vulnerabilities as well as how sports can mirror modern society, more so than its competitive aspects. Beyond this, Anna writes about contemporary social topics and how storytelling can shape empathy and understanding. Moreover, she is currently working on her debut novel that possesses an adept exploration on emotional depth and complexity that echo the shaping of her articles. Whether fiction or journalism, Anna’s writing works as a method of making sense of the world and highlight and amplify voices that may often go unheard.

Never Miss a Story.
