A video shared of the 100th woman to go to space has become the subject of misogynistic comments online after Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin aerospace company shared footage of the astronaut. Emily Calandrelli, an MIT engineer, said she was brought to tears by critics of the clip, which showed her floating upside down in zero gravity while she stared out at Earth from a window. It was not long before comments beneath the video were flooded with objectifying and sexual remarks.

8 people arrested over Laos methanol deaths
Police have arrested eight people over the suspected mass methanol poisoning that killed six foreign tourists earlier this month. The Laos government have promised justice after two Danish and Australian, a Briton and an American citizen died after falling ill at the Nana Backpackers Hostel in Vang Vieng, a small riverside town.
