The James Webb Space Telescope captures a new image of the Sombrero Galaxy, without the iconic hat-like glowing light in its centre. In its place, it has a much dimmer circular centre. Scientists state that this is because the image that it was most well known for was taken by NASAs Hubble Telescope, which uses visible light to capture its images as opposed to Webbs MIR instrument, which uses infrared light. Scientists hope that this new image will help paint a clearer picture on how the Sombrero galaxy truly operates.
