Unruly passenger gets tied up and placed on ‘no fly’ list

On the 16th of November, Gino Galofaro, along with 75 other travellers, were on United Airlines flight 502 from Austin, Texas to Los Angeles, California. Galofaro was asleep, but woke up abruptly to the commotion made by a man straddling the window and aisle seats of the row in front of him. The man began aggressively kicking the same row’s middle seat until it inevitably broke and extended into the row behind. Galofaro immediately began restraint attempts and two other passengers got a hold of zip ties, allowing the trio to tie the man to the seat. When the aircraft landed, LA officers boarded the plane, effectively arresting the man. United Airlines
