On 16 October 2024, Kim Leadbeater (Labour) presented the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill 2024-25 to Parliament.

MPs will get a free vote on the bill, which would allow people to choose to take their own lives, if they are terminally ill with only 12 months to live.
