U.S. civil rights leader Jesse Jackson has died at the age of 84, according to a statement from his family. Jackson rose to national prominence working alongside Martin Luther King Jr. during the civil rights movement before founding the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. A two-time Democratic presidential candidate, he campaigned for racial equality, voting rights and economic justice.
