College Students Struggle to Find Part-Time Jobs

For many college students in London, finding a part-time job has become increasingly challenging. Even after applying online and handing out CVs in person, many students say they rarely receive responses from employers. A major issue appears to be a lack of previous work experience, which makes it difficult for young people to compete in a crowded job market. I spoke to Aisha, a 17-year-old student at Barnet and Southgate College, about her experience trying to secure a part-time job.
