McDonalds Has Opened Its Doors in Rickmansworth But How Do The Community Feel About It?

In April 2025, the Watford Observer reported that there had been a request to open a new

McDonalds franchise branch in Rickmansworth. However, the council and the town’s

community felt that the nature of the fast-food chain would cause littering and jeopardise

the character of the area. As the new year approached, McDonalds opened its doors to the

public. On the opening day, members of the community reported that loud and

rambunctious teenagers were feeding these concerns with the area outside of McDonalds

being flooded with litter. As the year has entered its second month, things have seemed to

settle down in the fast-food chain.
