The NHS has implemented sackings for executives in failing hospitals to enforce accountability and improve patient care. Leaders of consistently underperforming hospitals can be removed if standards don’t improve, aiming to boost service quality and patient outcomes amidst ongoing challenges in the healthcare system. Hospitals could expect to be graded based on factors such as care delivery and finances, allowing patients to determine whether they are receiving a decent service.
