No more silent stadiums. Tap and send a cheer!

There will be a new Japanese app that will allow fans to send in virtual cheers and jeers to sports stadiums to create an atmosphere while matches are being played behind closed doors because of the Coronavirus. The event organizers can pre-set the type of cheers and change intensity levels depending on the number of people pressing the buttons all in hopes to replicate the roar when a "goal or home run is scored". The Japanese company had planned to launch the app by the end of the year, but the development was accelerated but not yet confirmed after lots of sporting events were being cancelled or played without fans due to COVID-19.
