Two deaths after boat sinking at the Channel

This morning an overloaded boat with migrants sank on the English Channel. 48 people were onboard, 2 of them unconscious and was later confirmed dead. The rescue operation was launched after a lifejacket had been spotted at sea outside of Calais. The rescue operation in still ongoing, searching for potentially other people in the water. An investigation has been open by the prosecutor of the Boulogne-Sur-Mer. So far this year, 47 deaths have been reported by the French coastguard.
