Volunteering Brings Both Challenges and Rewards

Volunteering programmes continue to play an important role in supporting groups while giving people the opportunity to gain valuable experience. Volunteers say the work can be rewarding, although it may sometimes feel challenging or even lonely. Despite this, organisations still rely heavily on volunteers to help those in need and strengthen community connections. Reporter Gisela spoke to a volunteer to find out what motivates people to take part and what they learn from the experience, and the challenges during their volunteering journeys today.
